Disable Aeroshake
Aeroshake gives you the ability to minimize all open windows with the exception of the currently selected window, just by grabbing it by the caption bar and giving it a shake. I hate it.
Some people don't mind it, and use it regularly, claiming that by minimizing the extra windows, there is less distraction from the task at hand.
I think that if you are that easily distracted from your current task, you might need to take a break from the keyboard, and go watch a sunset.
With all that said, you can easily disable the Aeroshake feature, with a simply registry change.
- Click Start
- In the Search field, type regedit and press Enter.
- Navigate to the folloiwng key folder:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Advanced
- On the right pane, right-click and from the menu, select New DWORD (32-bit).
- Name the new key DisallowShaking
- Set its value to 1.
- Click OK.
